Interchange: event held by company to gather ideas, reality check, get to know people from various back ground, have fun while accomplishing potential solution for macro issues for the company (means: workshop, picnic, dinner, t-shirts J)
Day 1
Morning started with anxious atmosphere, which spread around the crowd before the event started. Most people don’t know what to expect from this three days session. But soon all turn to laugh and positive energy flowing across the hall after the opening
Opening by Steve Orr, has been as influencing as the other Steve’s verbal statement in various occasion. The theme has been formalized then, “People, Pricing, and Technology”. This focus has been repeated more then enough during his speech to make our brain polluted and guaranteed to be safely kept in our subconscious mind J
After spending half day bowling, making new friends, losing nails, two accidentally ‘strike’ and ‘nice’ interruption for P&L (profit and loss) review for one of the FSM (field segment manager). We’re heading back to hotel for informal session for our work group, “Lawu Group”, discussing on how we’re going to present our topics without power point. And be ready for our batik night on the gala dinner in Shangrila Hotel.
The Dinner…
As one of the objectives of these three days session is get to know other people and making new friends, the dinner was began with short cocktail session outside the restaurants and we’re entertained with “Barongsay” acrobatic show. Nice start!
After that the dinner is just getting better and better! Welcomed by Batavian dance by the gorgeous “Abang None Finalist”, the dinner served together with some amateur Belly dancing. But we have this unforgettable session, traditional ‘martial art’ greatly combined with magic, called “DEBUS”. The performer of this show, under influenced of their magic, has turned into “Local Superman” where no blood can be shed from their body even though they have been hammered by sharp metal and solid log of wood, sliced by huge sword, stabbed by knifes and finally…closed by one healthy and life BAT and Bird bursting out from their stomach through their mouth!!!! Yachhhcss!!
